I love heels but sometimes I just want to give myself a break from the torture certain types inflict upon my poor tootsies. I’ll be the first to admit that some flats can be a major yawn fest. They’re just blah, for lack of a better term. But wait, there’s hope though! Say it with me- ‘sensible shoes’ do not have to be matronly! Repeat! You don’t have to compromise style for the sake of comfort. Case in point, these adorable loafers I scored from a pop-up boutique. They are easy on the feet and easy on the eye. I should turn that into a mantra, but I digress…
I searched online but alas, finding a similar pair of shoes proved to be an arduous task. I found this
overpriced pair by Dolce and Gabbana. I don’t know how I feel about spending a truck-load of coins on a pair of shoes. Frugal much? Perhaps. I delved further into the treasure chest that is online goody searches, and came up for air with this pair by Nine West. The detailing is spot on, and it’s overall a good deal; however, the only caveat is that the size selection is limited. If your shoe size is smaller or larger than a US 6 or 8 respectively, this pair won’t work. *sigh*
Moving on swiftly…
Did I mention I love large bags? I can literally stuff my laptop and half my house in this here beauty. It’s a pretty simple bag, but it makes a bold statement. I love the gold detailing, and the option to carry it by the long shoulder strap if I’m so inclined. Variety is after all the spice of life. You can find similar bags here.
The buttons on my pants, and the jewels on my loafers served as accents, so I chose to keep my jewelry simple with this statement piece rose gold watch. I love large watches, but I’m careful to tone down the rest of my accessories to even things out. Less is more.
See how the whole outfit looks here. Now go forth and be dapper. 🙂
