Duchess and Duchess Night. That was the catchy name of the spectacular event I attended on ‘Black Friday” It was a fun-filled, life-changing night that was the culmination of several months of preparation. The idea behind the “Duchess and Duchess” movement was to bring mothers and daughters together and, further solidify the special bond between them. This was the inaugural event; however, don’t let that fool you into thinking that the turnout was scarce. Far from it! The event hall was filled to capacity, bursting at the seams with positive energy and good vibes. It was a great celebration of the essence of being a female. There was a broad spectrum of females from tweens, to teens, to young adults, to middle-aged women, to older women… It was such a positive experience to be a part of this melting pot of multiple generations. Little princesses and regal queens all under one roof- I loved it! At the end of the day, I can confidently say that we can all learn valuable information from every generation. The night was chock-full of mentoring and advice sessions, fashion shows, upbeat music, energetic dancing and widespread jubilation. A good time was had by all!
Now let’s talk about the fashion. Every single person in attendance was dressed to the nines. It felt like old school Sunday church service when everyone would be decked out in their most eye-catching outfits. I kept my look relatively simple with an almost beige crop top, a high-low chic skirt, and a pair of two-tone court shoes. I wrapped up the look with a simple black clutch bag and classic gold jewelry. My outfit didn’t cost a million bucks, but I sure felt like 10 million bucks!
Now this is the part where you find out where you can get pieces to recreate this outfit! Yeah! *fist pump*
Both the crop top and the”Chloe Hi-Lo” skirt were from Agaci
