Oh, how much do I love Spring time? Let me count the ways, and then some! I’m so glad we’re finally over the miserable winter weather hump. Bring on fair skies and warm temperatures! Now that my winter wear is stowed away, I’ve gleefully unleashed my Spring and Summer garments in readiness for what I consider the best seasons of the year! Oh, how I had missed bright colors, floral prints and all things associated with warmer times! Goodbye tights, boots, coats, sweaters, scarves, gloves…you name it! Side note: Ladies, this would also be the time to shave your legs and get that much-needed pedicure. *giggle*
For the past few weeks, I’ve been ridding my closet of unnecessary items. All the “one day I’ll wear this” and “I’ll find a way to style that” pieces that have been occupying space, rent-free, in my ever-expanding closet were evicted without notice. I’m on a mission to only keep items that I know, without a doubt, that I will wear in upcoming weeks. Everything else will be donated, sold or repackaged and gifted. In other news: As my closet got emptier, my heart got larger and more willing to welcome new items (read items I know I’ll wear). This week’s beyond gorgeous white and floral print frock from Shein was one of the first new pieces to grace my wardrobe with its presence. From the get-go, I was sold on the figure-hugging cut, and effortlessly chic vibe this dress exudes.
Can we talk about this frock’s price point? Close your eyes and imagine feeling like a million bucks without spending a fraction of that. Visualized? Great, then let’s proceed! If there was a committee on ways to make a fashion dollar stretch, I’d be the self-appointed, lifetime tenure chairwoman. I kid you not! I am a firm believer in the notion that you do NOT have to break the bank to assemble a stylish outfit. This dress was so ridiculously affordable, for a moment I thought I was delusional, sleep deprived or both. I caught myself pondering why it cost so little, and what the catch was. It seemed too good to be true!
What was that? You said you want to read more about the dress? Alright, here goes…
The fabric is fitted but stretchy, meaning it will fit you like a glove, but not be restrictive. Ladies, you won’t feel like you are suffocating in this dress! *fist pump* I would, however, recommend wearing shapewear underneath to smoothen your silhouette.
Where can you wear this dress to, you ask? Well, pretty much anywhere! Throw on a blazer and heels and you’re ready for work. Take off the blazer and you’re ready for happy hour after work. Slip into a pair of flat sandals and you’re ready for a casual meetup at Starbucks. Don a straw hat and you’re ready for a picnic at the park. The possibilities are limitless. I especially love the fact that you can keep your accessories relatively simple, OR you can go all out, and you would still pull off an effortlessly chic look. Hands up if you’re classy and you know it, and you’re not afraid to show it! *virtual high five*
Now the fun part- you get to find out how you, yes you, can get your hands on this dress. As always, I’m much obliged to divulge this information.
