Our Experience at Thompson Hotel Austin
We walked into the Thompson Austin lobby to warm smiles and exceptional service from the front desk staff. Our check-in process was uber fast! Subsequently, we were well on our way to what we anticipated would be an exciting experience.
As we took in the visually stimulating sights of the property, we were particularly drawn to the overall moody vibe of the space. By this time, we had some experience with the Thompson Hotel brand, having stayed at Thompson Dallas. We loved that the design of each property was not a cookie-cutter concept — each property is certainly unique and speaks to the city where it is located.
Our Suite
Our home-away-from-home was a Brazos Suite, which was undeniably a visual experience to behold! As soon as we saw it, we were immediately drawn to the suite’s contemporary vibe. It featured a bar area, a dining area, and a living room, all beautifully furnished and perfectly designed to be multi-use spaces.
The bedroom was cozy, with a comfortable bed, and minimalistic decor. The bathroom featured an exposed concrete sink, dual waterfall shower heads, and a midnight black futuristic commode that was reminiscent of The Jetsons.
Overall, we loved the suite’s natural elements, high-end finishes, hints of soft leathers, artistic lighting fixtures, and large windows that let in an abundance of natural light.
