Our Experience at Adriatica Village

As Dallas residents, our visit to Adriatica Village felt like an unexpected European getaway right in our own backyard.

The crown jewel of this European-style village is undoubtedly its picturesque waterfront akin to the shores of Croatia. This stunning feature immediately captured our attention and became the focal point of our visit.

The serene water, coupled with the village’s unique architecture, created a mesmerizing ambiance that seemingly teleported us to an other-worldly destination. It was a postcard-perfect scene!

The tiered area by the waterfront is a thoughtfully designed space that proved to be the perfect spot to sit, relax, and soak in the village’s tranquil atmosphere. It was a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives.

While we were disappointed to learn that the restaurant at the harbor had permanently closed its doors, we didn’t let this dampen our spirits. Instead, we pivoted to plan B and headed to Starwood Cafe for brunch. This turned out to be a delightful alternative, as we thoroughly enjoyed the food choices, thereby adding another layer of excitement to our overall Adriatica experience.

Our visit to Adriatica Village reminded us of the joy of discovering hidden gems in unexpected places. This little slice of Europe in McKinney offered us the illusion of being far from home without leaving the Lone Star State. It is, to date, one of the best places we have explored locally.
