ToggleIntroduction to Rosewood Mansion
Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek History
Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek’s architectural influence was 16th-century Renaissance Italy. The European grand estates of yesteryear inspired the interior decor.
In 1979, the original estate was purchased by Rosewood Corporation. The property was then transformed into the one-of-a-kind hotel and restaurant it is now.
Specifically, the hotel was officially opened in 1981. Over the decades, updates have been made to the property; however, it has maintained its regal historic charm.
Dallas architecture firm known as ‘Three,” as well as interior design master craftsmen, are some of the brains behind the revamp.
Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek Today
Currently, Rosewood Hotels and Resorts Collection owns Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. As a matter of fact, it was the first property to be added to the Rosewood Hotels and Resorts Collection of properties.

Our First Impression of Rosewood Mansion at Turtle Creek Dallas
Arrival and Check-In
Our Rosewood Mansion experience began as we drove up the hotel’s circular driveway. The beaming valet staff helped us offload our luggage, which they would later wheel into our room. Shortly after, they quickly whisked our car to a nearby parking garage.
We walked up a short flight of stairs to the hotel’s front door and were immediately blown away!
The grand entry rotunda to the lobby was our first taste of the hotel’s luxurious vibe. It quite honestly felt like the entrance to a private palatial residence. The entryway’s ornate fixtures, large mirrors, and intricately carved ceiling were endearing!
We traversed the marble floors leading to the concierge and registration areas in the lobby. The front desk staff warmly welcomed us and promptly checked us in.
Exploring Rosewood Mansion
Shortly after check-in, we made our way through the hotel. We were drawn to the hotel’s aesthetically pleasing decor, furnishings, and fixtures. We particularly loved the lobby living room, with fireplaces featuring a Turtle Creek emblem.
The elevator ride to the seventh floor (where our room was located) was one of excited anticipation. Soon after, we made our way to our room, on an eye candy-laden path. We loved all the unique photography and awe-inspiring art.
Similarly, the corridors were ever so beautifully designed. They included cozy seating areas, bookcases, ceramic vessels, damask wall coverings, and more.
As we explored more of the property. We discovered beautifully curated spaces and jaw-droppingly stunning features of the building.
The stained glass windows and grand staircases were a major win in our books! Each corner of the hotel was designed to ensure guests can fully experience luxury in a welcoming environment.
Our Room at Rosewood Mansion
During our stay at Rosewood Mansion, our accommodation was in a Deluxe Room.
Despite being one of the smaller accommodation options at the property, we did not feel like we were missing out on anything. There was no rationing of luxury here!
Aesthetically, the major selling point for us was the French doors. These allowed natural light to illuminate the room beautifully.
Notably, we were pleased to find that the drapes were thick enough to completely block out light if we chose to sleep in. The French doors led to a small balcony that offered beautiful views of the serene, highly sought-after Turtle Creek neighborhood.
Specific to the room’s decor, we loved the unique mix of historically-inspired and contemporary pieces.
The room’s distinctive wood paneling accent wall gave the space character. There was a floor-to-ceiling bookcase chock full of books for our reading pleasure.
Additionally, if we chose to work during our stay at the hotel, there was a desk space in the room. Overall, our room felt like a well-furnished home away from home.
Also in the room was a mini bar with an assortment of drinks and snacks for purchase. We chose instead to experience in-room dining via room service. The wide selection of menu options was quite impressive.
Speaking of aesthetically pleasing, Pinterest-worthy features, we absolutely loved the bathroom. The gold-plated brass finishings, the waterfall shower, and the standalone tub were some of our favorite aspects of the bathroom.
