As the name suggests, Westin DFW Hotel is located near Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), which is the area’s largest airport. Specifically, the hotel is in the city of Irving, which is approximately 13 miles from downtown Dallas. 

Architecturally, the hotel may have been built in 1987; however, aesthetically, it has kept up with the changing times, given its renovation and rebranding over the years. The most recent renovation at Westin DFW was in 2019 when a fresh, contemporary look was unveiled.

If you will be traveling to Westin DFW from out of town, flying in may very well be the most convenient option. The Dallas Fort Worth area has 2 main airports, namely: Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Dallas Love Field (DAL).

From the moment that we set foot in the Westin DFW hotel property, the front desk staff provided great customer service. We were impressed by the hotel’s facelift including the contemporary decor and overall swanky vibe. We absolutely love what they have done with the place! 

The Presidential Suite at Westin DFW 

We had the honor of staying at Westin DFW’s grandest room options—the Presidential Suite. To say it was an epic experience would be a gross understatement! It was the foundation for what would be a travel experience that we would remember for time immemorial.

Living room in the Presidential Suite

Serving as a luxurious home away from home, the Presidential Suite is as palatial as its name sounds. It is a fully-loaded living space, complete with a living area, dining area, kitchenette, office corner, powder room, as well as a master ensuite bedroom with a heavenly bath tub. The icing on the proverbial “suite goals” was the sweeping aerial views of the city of Irving.

BYRN Lounge

BYRN Lounge is a bar and lounge located within BYRN Western Grill. On offer are refreshing cocktails, as well as tasty lite bites. The lounge also serves as a meeting point or venue for private events. 

The Market

The Market is open for breakfast and offers an expansive breakfast buffet, a la carte options, as well as a room service menu.

The hotel is pet friendly; however, only dogs are allowed. 2 dogs, up to 50 lbs are allowed per room/suite. The hotel requires pets to be supervised at all times.

Smoking is not permitted in the rooms or suites. There is a designated smoking area on the property. Inquire at the front desk for the smoking zone.

Westin DFW hotel has free onsite self-parking space. Additionally, wheelchair-accessible free parking and van parking are available on site.

There are no extra charges for full-size vans, pick-up trucks, and large SUV vehicles. However, RV/bus/truck parking location is available for an extra charge.
